Babak Saboury, MD, MPH
Dr. Saboury is a physician-scientist who recently joined Bethesda Theranostics after serving in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences (RADIS) at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center (NIHCC). While at the NIH, Dr. Saboury’s focus was on clinical care and research related to quantitative imaging biomarkers using molecular imaging techniques and personalization of radiopharmaceutical therapy.

This work built upon his prior efforts at the University of Pennsylvania as the director of the quantitative imaging biomarker laboratory for Abass Alavi, and as an attending oncoradiology and nuclear medicine physician at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Saboury is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed papers, with more than 200 presentations at national and international meetings.
