Munir Ghesani, MD, FACNM, FACR, FSNMMI
Dr. Ghesani has practiced in the field of academic nuclear medicine for over 25 years, most recently as the Chief of Nuclear Medicine for Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. His primary research interests are in clinical and translational areas in oncologic imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT). He actively communicates with his clinical colleagues and has worked with the FDA on the successful introduction of novel research radiotracers in routine clinical care.

In addition to many publications in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Ghesani has given over 100 presentations at regional, national, and international conferences. Previous leadership roles include President of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), Chairman of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, Chairman of the Government Relations Committee and the FDA Task Force of the SNMMI, and Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine and PET Accreditation Committee of the American College of Radiology.
